Short and simple: 'absolutely delicious!' More details: I ordered delivery last Friday, and was BLOWN AWAY by the awesome flavor and freshness of my meal and so, I ordered more today! I had Mostaccioli with Meat Balls, Broccoli and meat Sauce and it was delicious. the meat balls were LARGE and very tasty and the broccoli was crunchy yet juicy (super fresh) and the meal was a real joy to eat. Garlic bread was included, too. their delivery was fast and the food arrived hot and on-time! (definitely better than when I had food Dashed to my Door!) Food was FRESH and the portions were VERY generous! (VERY satisfying!) All this and it was still LESS-cost (by 10) than having, even, Micky-D's Dashed to my Door! (Great value!) I plan to order from here once (or more) a week!
Vitale's is a hometown favorite. The best place for authentic Italian food in Macomb. They have many delicious items on the menu. However, my favorite is their deep dish pizza. It has tons of cheese.. stuffed with your preferred favorite toppings and a delicious tomato sauce to top it off! It is one of the pricier items on the menu, but it is highly worth it. This restaurant is owned by a wonderful Macomb family. The atmosphere is a family-friendly place.
Absolutely awesome meat tortellini, cooked perfectly and the sauce was as good as any I've ever had, including some VERY expensive restaurants on The Hill in St. Louis.
We stumbled upon this family restaurant by accident a year ago while traveling across the US. When we set out to travel this summer all three of our kids requested that we come back through Macomb and go to Vitale's again, so we did. It was absolutely amazing a year ago when we first went and I dare say it was even better than we remembered this year when we stopped in!! This is an absolute 'must stop' for our annual Summer RV across the US Trip!! We are a family of 5, everyone ordered their own meal, drinks, and ordered appetizers our bill was under 100!! We took 2 half pizzas and a large box of pasta as leftovers for another 4 meals along with full tummies upon leaving!! Thank you Vitale's for an excellent meal, family atmosphere, and phenomenal service!!
Other than it being cold in the building the meal was fantastic. It was cold outside and the heater was having just a little hiccup. I can't remember the name of the dish but it was bowtie pasta with zucchini, mushrooms and supposed to have bell peppers but I don't like peppers. Outstanding!!
Vitale's was some of the best Italian food I've had in a very long time. Portion sizes are substantial and the customer service was excellent. We had a question about a sauce and they not only answered our question but after we had ordered, the chef sent us put a sample of the sauce we were curious about. These people know their food! I'll be back!
If you happen to be in the area I would strongly recommend stopping in and seeing these lovely people this establishment will not treat you as a customer you will be treated as a guest The facility is extremely clean well-lit seeting is spacious The portions given are very favorable prices are affordable This is definitely an establishment not only will I visit again but I will take every chance to recommend
There were 4 in our group and all of us thought our food was excellent. We were there on Homecoming night and despite being short-staffed for that reason, our wait was reasonable and the service was excellent. The lasagna portion was a tad smaller than we would have liked, but the other pasta dishes were plentiful and delicious. Would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.
